however, press the help button and select a function from the
help screen. With a remote control, you can simply press the
number button that is shown in the menu (usually in front of a
function). Or, you can use the four direction buttons to navigate
the various options until you reach the right function. A high-
lighted function is shown in a different color or in yellow. Now
press OK to activate this function.
7.1.3 Importing and playing various le types
If you have a CD/DVD or a USB stick on which are stored mul-
tiple files in different formats, you can use the universal player
to list them and select them for playing. To call up the universal
player, please access the universal player from the selection
menu. You should then select the medium on which the data
are stored. Insert the CD/DVD in the tray or connect the USB
stick. After a moment the files found on the CD/DVD will be
shown in a list. (If you have connected a USB stick, you should
start the search while you start the read USB function) You can
now play the file using the Play button and control playback
using the controls shown in the Help menu.
To be able to import movies or audio in the corresponding
archives, you should switch to the movie archive or the music
archive.
Click on the Options button and the corresponding Import but-
ton to open a selection menu in which you can indicate from
which medium you want to import. Switch into the menu you
want, in order to be able to import from this medium.
If your data is located on a USB medium, connect the USB
device and select the function for searching USB devices.
When you insert a CD/DVD containing different file formats,
a list will appear in which all files are shown. Behind the file
names, the corresponding format is displayed, insofar as it
is possible to analyze it. Press the Info button to get more
information about the file. Use the Play button to display the
selected entry.
The Options button is used to indicate additional criteria for
importing the data.
The ‘Optimized for Bogart SE’ Quality offers you to import the
movie in Bogart SE without any unnecessary conversions. It
is also possible to indicate in what video and audio quality the
data should be imported.
Similarly, you will also be able to import your music into the
music archives.
7.1.4 Playing an imported video le
After clicking on the corresponding menu field, you get to the
selection menu in the video archives.
The menu is divided into several areas. You have a menu with
general items, such as date and hard disk usage and a list area
and indicators with possible control functions.
In the list area, you will find the broadcasts that have been
imported so far. Entries in the movie archives can receive a
symbol for indicating the length of the movie.
There are also symbols for movies that have been watched
for a small part, half or completely, Movies that have already
been edited or archived in the Media Manager also receive a
symbol. Additionally, self-added markings such as ratings, can
be shown.
Select the desired recording using the up or down directional
button until it has been marked. Subsequently, you should
click the ‘Actions’ menu field and then the Play button. If you
have a RelaxVision remote control, you can pause (press
Pause), fast forward or rewind the movie at any time. When
you press the ‘Forward’ or ‘Rewind’ button multiple times, the
speed of the function will increase.
7.1.5 Importing your favorite music
Now that you have experimented with the film archive a little,
let’s move on to the music. You’ll be putting together your own
archive of music from your favorite CDs.
If you click on the Music Archives entry in the selection menu,
